Creation and Resistance: Printmaking in Dark Times

I have some of my recent pieces on view at Gallery Juan R. Fuentes in San Francisco, California. The exhibition runs through April 7th, 2017.

I have the honor of receiving a scholarship from the historic Manhattan Graphics Center in New York City, for a three months printmaking residency in Spring 201.  It has been a wonderful experience for me so far to explore the rich and diverse art scene of New York, and to be supported by such a magnificent community of artists.

“Print and printmaking has been at the core of human development, providing the means for accurately communicating the ever increasing complex web of knowledge.”
Chris Orr (paraphrased from the forward of Alan Smith’s Etching book)

Intaglio techniques have always fascinated artists of different disciplines. If you are curious and passionate to learn more about this exquisite art, please join my class this fall at the San Francisco Art Institute, Public Education Program.
